Camp House Fire near Brimson (MN DNR)
DULUTH, Minn. (KFGO) – Peta, people for the ethical treatment of animals, is urging prosecutors to add animal cruelty charges against Parker Wilson, the man accused of starting the Camp House Fire in St. Louis County in northeastern Minnesota.
The May wildfire burned over 12,000 acres and destroyed more than 150 homes, cabins and outbuildings.
Peta says the fire also killed a flock of chickens, injured a surviving hen, and terrorized and killed wild animals. For now, Olson faces a misdemeanor for failing to put out a campfire.
