Employees charged with stealing lottery tickets from Fergus Falls convenience store

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KBRF/KFGO) – Two former employees of Lakeway Express convenience store in Fergus Falls have been charged with stealing lottery tickets from the business.

33-year-old Donovan Bolden and 50-year-old Heidi Hagen, both of Fergus Falls were charged with state lottery fraud and theft earlier this week.

Otter Tail County prosecutors say the pair took lottery tickets without paying for them while working at Lakeway Express in January. Investigators viewed security footage that showed them taking the tickets and scratching them off and then bringing the winning tickets to Walmart to cash them in.

Investigators say the value of the stolen tickets was over $9,000.
