Federal Prison Camp in Duluth (Bureau of Prisons)
DULUTH, Minn. – Minnesota members of Congress say the Federal Prison Camp in Duluth will remain open.
Senator Tina Smith says reversing the decision to close the prison camp is a major victory for the workers, families, and community that have fought to keep good-paying, union jobs in the region. It had been in danger of closing.
8th District Congressman Pete Stauber says he’s overjoyed by the decision that Duluth will stay open and the 90 federal workers who work there will remain employed.
