South Dakota man jailed, accused of decapitating his mother

CLARK, S.D. (KFGO KWAT) – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says 36 year-old Bowen Jay Fladland has been charged with the death of his mother in Clark.

Jackley confirms that the victim was decapitated.

South Dakota DCI was alerted to the crime Tuesday and responded to a home in Clark.

Codington County Sheriff Brad Howell says Fladland was booked into the detention center in Watertown late Tuesday night on charges of first and second-degree murder.
