ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has fined Anheuser-Busch resources in Moorhead $323,850 for failing to conduct performance tests and exceeding dust emissions at the now closed barley malting plant along I-94.
The MPCA says Busch violated rules and regulations several times. The violations were discovered during a routine, unannounced inspection.
Anheuser-Busch opened the plant more than 40 years ago. The barley was turned into malt for the beer company’s brewing operations. Processing has been shifted to a processing plant in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Anheuser-Busch announced the closing of the Moorhead plant last November.
