GRAND FORKS, ND (KFGO) – A Grand Forks man charged in the shooting deaths of two people, including a Grand Forks police officer, is in jail after his release from Altru Hospital.
41-year-old Samalah Pendelton was shot during an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement at a south grand forks apartment last month. 29-year-old police officer Cody Holte and Lola Moore, a 61-year old woman in the apartment, were both killed. A sheriff’s deputy was wounded.
Pendleton faces two counts of murder, attempted murder, criminal mischief, terrorizing and reckless endangerment charges.
His bail remains at $1-million with a court appearance scheduled for Monday.
