Ray Holmberg got everything he deserved at his sentencing. The Republican former State Senator used the power he had as a majority member to rape children. Imagine that; a man using state dollars, state connections, and a state position to rape young boys. I’m proud of the role KFGO plays in making sure the public knows all they can about this. The problem is, our work isn’t done.
There was someone that knew what Ray was doing when he was doing it. In fact, I believe there was more than one. Acting U.S. Attorney Jennifer Puhl provided the evidence that Holmberg was communicating, or as he put it, bragging about having sex with young boys. So the job that you deserve to have done now is find out who those people were that heard the bragging and travelled with him. I have no doubt that we in the media will use every tool available to get you those names.

I had a call during my show asking why different commodity groups haven’t stepped up to offer opposition to the Trump tariffs. With a policy that not only caused cost to go up, but also commodity prices to go down, why wouldn’t they take a stand? I think there’s two answers to that question: One being they expect to be made whole. Whatever they lose per bushel will be more than made up with a subsidy. The second would be fear. Fear of challenging a man so vicious, that if you tick him off, that subsidy could go out the window.
And why wouldn’t they? That’s the way Trump governs. He governs through fear.
Time will tell how bad these tariffs are for rural America. My fear is some of it can’t and won’t be reversed.
The last thing American farmers need is more Chinese shipping ports built in Brazil.
