The North Dakota Farm Bureau is thrilled to announce the winners of its “Barnyard Bunch: The Awesome World of Animal Agriculture” art contest, a highlight of NDFB Week, March 9-15, 2025. This contest invited 4th and 5th graders to showcase the amazing animals that make up our “Barnyard Bunch” and to celebrate their contributions to agriculture.
The artwork was to include at least one farm animal and a written fact about the animal. The submissions were judged on two categories: creativity and artistic composition.
“This year included some of the most adorable farm animals,” said Lisa Hauf, NDFB Director of Public Relations. “It was also fun to see some of the humor these young artists included in their drawings.”
After careful consideration, four winners were chosen, with two winners selected from each grade category. Each winner will receive a prize of $50. The winners of the “Barnyard Bunch” art contest are:
4th Grade:
- Ivie Connick of Portland, N.D. for artistic composition
- Brooklyn M. of Bismarck, N.D. for creativity
5th Grade:
- Allison Quinn of Mott, N.D. for artistic composition
- Kora Froemke of Valley City, N.D. for creativity
The art contest is part of NDFB Week, which celebrates North Dakota’s rich agricultural heritage and focuses on the significance of animal agriculture in our state.
