
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) โ An 18-year-old Grand Forks man will spend 40 years in prison for murdering a stranger last year.
Cazmere Haskins was sentenced Friday to 60 years in prison with 20 suspended for stabbing and killing 24-year-old Anfernee Economy last March.
Haskins killed Economy during a pre-arranged fight in an apartment complex parking lot. He was 17 at the time, but was charged as an adult. He pleaded guilty in December.
Haskins was facing up to life in prison for the murder. As part of sentencing, he will also have to pay over $12,000 in restitution.
