Deadly fire in Twin Cities senior living apartment complex

ROBBINESDALE, Minn. (KFGO) – A woman is dead after a fire at an senior living center in the Twin Cities suburb of Robbinsdale.

Police were met with dense black smoke and heard no response when calling for anyone in the apartment unit shortly after the call came in at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. Fire crews pulled the woman from the apartment, but she died at the scene. The fire was contained to that apartment. The building is seven stories.

The state fire marshal’s office will help determine the cause of the fire.
