ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (KFGO) – A 26-year-old Osakis, Minnesota man will spend the holiday weekend in jail after deputies say he was driving the wrong way on Interstate 94.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says multiple people called 9-1-1 to report a pickup was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of the interstate near Alexandria around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
Deputies were able to stop the man by blocking the pickup with their patrol vehicles just east of Alexandria.
The Sheriff’s Office says the man appeared to be impaired and was given a breath test. That test showed the man had a blood-alcohol level three and a half times the legal limit for driving.
The man was booked into the Douglas County jail and faces multiple charges.
