ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO/WCCO) – One man was killed and another man and two young children were unharmed after a driveby shooting in a busy St. Paul intersection Friday afternoon.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Dale and University near the Rondo Community Library.
Police say the four were in a vehicle when a car drove up and fired shots at them. The man died at the scene.
“To say that this was a close call (for the children) is an understatement,” said St. Paul police sergeant Mike Ernster. “The infant was seated in a car seat, after review by the homicide investigators, was noticed to have two bullet holes in it.”
There have been no arrests.
This is the 10th reported homicide in St. Paul in the last two months and the 29th of the year.
