LIDGERWOOD, N.D. (KFGO) – A semi driver was hurt when his truck and flatbed trailer rolled into a ditch in southeast North Dakota Friday night.
It happened shortly after 7 p.m. on Highway 11 three miles east of Lidgerwood.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office says the driver swerved to avoid hitting a deer. The truck and trailer, which was loaded with onions, went into the ditch and rolled.
The driver was treated at the scene and then taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Breckenridge, Minnesota with non-life-threatening injuries.
The highway was reduced to one lane while crews cleaned the scene.
The driver’s name hasn’t been released.
