ST. PAUL, Minn. – A St. Paul man will spend more than 13 years in federal prison for leading a fentanyl trafficking ring in Minnesota.
Prosecutors say Cornell Chandler Jr., 25, admitted to traveling to Arizona to buy fentanyl pills from suppliers, hiding the drugs inside stuffed animals, and mailing them to Minnesota. Investigators learned about the smuggling and seized packages containing more than 30,000 grams of fentanyl pills in 2023 worth over $2 million.
Chandler pleaded to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl in June.
