ST. PAUL, Minn. – A recent survey finds Minnesota’s workplace injury and illness rates are at an all-time low.
James Honerman with the Department of Labor and Industry says Minnesota had just over 65,000 workers with OSHA non-fatal workplace injuries in 2023, down from more than 85,000 in 2022. There were 5,200 illnesses reported last year compared to more than 19,000 in 2022.
Honerman says more workplaces are focusing attention each day to safety and health programs that improve safety and health outcomes for workers.
