MOORHEAD (KFGO) – DG Fuels, a company that produces sustainable aviation fuels, is planning a $5 billion plant in Moorhead. The new plant will produce 193 million gallons of low-carbon emission aviation fuel each year.
The plant will use agricultural biomass like corn stover and timber waste to produce the fuel. DG Fuels plans to provide 100 million gallons of aviation fuel to MSP International Airport by 2030.
The plant is expected to be built over a four-year period, and production is expected to begin in 2030. Once open, it will provide 650 jobs.
