(Reuters) -Cosmetics giant Estee Lauder has picked longtime senior executive Stéphane de La Faverie to take over as its chief executive officer, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The company had announced the retirement of its CEO Fabrizio Freda after nearly 16 years at the helm earlier this year.
Estee Lauder did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
