MOORHEAD – (KFGO) – Fire caused heavy damage to a home at 920 16th Street South in Moorhead. The fire was reported shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday. The house is located about a block south of the MSUM campus.
Fire Department Battalion Chief Matt Brand says the homeowner woke to a fire at the rear of the house. He and his wife got out quickly, but the fire extended into the attic, and when fire crews arrived on the scene, there was fire showing through the roof.
Firefighters were able to get inside to attack the fire and extinguish the flames quickly. The damage is extensive, and the cause has not been determined.
There were no reports of any injuries.
