DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KFGO) – The Minnesota State Patrol has released the names of two people who died in a three- vehicle crash on Highway 59 near Detroit Lakes Tuesday afternoon.
33-year-old Cole Carlson of Detroit Lakes was killed along with 60-year-old Stacey Nelson of Hawley, a passenger in Carlson’s car.
The driver of a mini-van, 84-year-old Marvin St. Germain and his passenger, 82-year-old Marie St. Germain, both of Fosston, suffered non-life threatening injuries. They were taken to Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes.
59-year-old Evette Fox of Bagley, was driving a large van and was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation. The two killed were not wearing seatbelts.
