CROOKSTON, Minn. (KFGO) – Two northwestern Minnesota men and a Grand Forks man are among 45 people from the U.S. and Canada charged after an undercover chat operation identifying online sexual solicitors of children.
The operation was conducted by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Telesforo Ragrag, 53 of Thief River Falls, 45-year-old Mark Richard Olson of Twin Valley, and 21-year-old Kaden Marquart of Grand Forks are charged with soliciting a child online to engage in sexual conduct. Ragrag is also charged with distributing electronic communication that describes sexual conduct to a child.
The Sheriff’s Office is reminding parents to be proactive in monitoring their children’s devices, apps, and internet activity and to file a report with police if they suspect a child is being solicited.
