ST. PAUL, Minn. – Associate Justice Theodora “Teddy” Gaïtas will officially be sworn into the Minnesota Supreme Court Monday during an investiture ceremony.
Gaïtas served as an Appeals Court judge before she was appointed to the Supreme Court in April.
“As an appellate public defender, I had the incredible privilege of practicing before our Supreme Court,” Gaïtas said “I still get shivers when I walk into the spectacular Supreme Court courtroom here at the Capitol.”
Gaïtas said she’s deeply committed to ensuring that the law in Minnesota is applied fairly and equally.
Gaïtas joined the state’s high court on Aug. 1 following the retirement of Justice Margaret Chutich.
