FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Fire says a fire alarm call in a downtown Fargo apartment was caused by a vandal who discharged a fire extinguisher in the hall.
Crews responded to Lofts 23 apartments on Broadway just before 3 a.m. Monday. The call was upgraded to a structure fire, but no fire was found. Instead, crews discovered someone had used a fire extinguisher, and the chemical haze was confused for smoke.
The apartment building was evacuated out of caution, but residents were able to go back in after about an hour.
