FARGO (KFGO) – Police have confirmed the identity of a man found dead in his south Fargo apartment and whose body was moved after his death.
According to court records, video shows that Jeff Siemieniewski, 60, died Saturday after what appeared to be a medical emergency as he was entering his apartment. He was moving items into his apartment with Terri Nesemeier, 26, when he collapsed in the doorway.
Investigators say Siemieniewski’s body was lying in the doorway with his head in the hallway for around 20 minutes before Nesemeier is seen dragging his body into the apartment.
Court records say Nesemeier was coming and going from the apartment until Monday.
On Tuesday, officers were called after Siemieniewski’s body was found in the apartment. An investigation led detectives to Nesemeier’s home where they found items belonging to Siemieniewski, including his ID, Social Security card, and cell phone.
Nesemeier told officers she didn’t call for help because she didn’t have access to make the call and didn’t know what to do. She’s been charged with theft, preventing arrest, willful disturbance of a dead body, duty to report a death, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
