CAVALIER, N.D. (KFGO) – The Highway Patrol has released names in a deadly crash in northeast North Dakota Friday night.
Jenny Halldorson, 43 of Hamilton, was a passenger on a motorcycle that hit a deer on a county road around 11 p.m. Halldorson was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.
The driver, 43-year-old Robert Winkler of Cavalier, suffered life-threatening injuries when he was pinned under the bike after it went into the ditch. Winkler was taken by ambulance to Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier.
Neither person was wearing a helmet.
The Highway Patrol says charges of driving under revocation and driving without liability insurance are pending against Winkler.
