FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) — The innocent bystander who was shot during an ambush on police last July is returning to Fargo to thank people who helped her through her initial recovery.
Karlee Koswick moved away from Fargo and was out of work almost a year while recovering from injuries she suffered during the July 14, 2023 shooting that killed officer Jake Wallin and injured two other officers.
The suspect was shot and killed by officer Zach Robinson.
Koswick started a GoFundMe to pay for the return trip and to attend an anniversary ceremony at Fargo City Hall at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
She had a goal of $1,800 and has raised over $3,100.
