HEBRON, N.D. (KFGO) – A crop duster pilot is safe after making an emergency landing in western North Dakota Monday morning.
Pierson Chase told the Highway Patrol he was flying to the Hebron Airport after spraying when the airplane’s engine began to surge and sputter, and then quit.
Chase tried to land on a Morton County road east of Hebron, and the airplane was pulled into the ditch. He was not hurt.
The FAA will investigate the emergency landing.
Hebron is about 40 miles east of Dickinson.
