FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) โ According to Fargo Police, a man was the victim of an attempted robbery at gunpoint by a woman he thought was his online girlfriend Friday evening.
The robbery occurred in a hotel room in the 4300 block of 17th Ave. S in Fargo. According to reports, the victim came to Fargo to meet his online girlfriend who went by the name โRiy Alexander.โ
The pair spent the afternoon shopping before going to the victimโs hotel room, where an armed male attempted to force his way into the room. โAlexanderโ ran from the room, and did not return.
During an interview with the victim, officers were given a phone number for โAlexanderโ that was registered to Sariah Jennings, an 18-year- old Minnesota resident.
On Tuesday, officers received a tip from West Acres security that the individuals involved in the attempted robbery had returned to the store they had been shopping at before the attempted robbery.
Officers responded, and arrested Jennings and Jeremiah Norby, a 19-year-old Fargo resident.
Norby and Jennings were arrested for conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Norby was also arrested on charges of preventing arrest, conspiracy to manufacture or deliver marijuana and possession of cocaine.
