ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – The Dept. of Natural Resources is reminding hunters they have until Saturday to apply for one of the 10 elk licenses offered this year.
The 2024 licenses include two landowner permits, two 10-year history permits, and six general lottery permits. All three seasons begin Sept. 21 and end Sept. 29.
The three recognized herds in northwestern Minnesota include Grygla, Kittson Central and Caribou-Vita. The Grygla area zone remains closed to state-licensed elk hunters.
