MERCER COUNTY, N.D. – Two people were killed in a multiple-vehicle crash south of Beulah, North Dakota Tuesday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol says a 20-year-old man from Riverton, Utah was driving northbound in an SUV with a 20-year-old passenger from Ely, Nevada.
The patrol says they didn’t see that traffic had stopped because of a vehicle fire that blocked Highway 49 and their SUV rear-ended a stopped semi.
The two died at the scene. The semi-driver was not hurt.
