GRAND FORKS COUNTY, N.D. ( KFGO) -Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office arrested 3 people following a high-speed chase early Thursday morning.
A deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for crossing the center line on a Grand Forks street. The driver fled hitting speeds of more than 100 mph before crashing into a parked vehicle.
The driver then ran but was found two hours later. Kyle Maez-Schaak, 31, of New Rockford, North Dakota, was arrested for felony criminal mischief, driving under suspension, reckless endangerment, refusal to halt, fleeing a police officer while fleeing from a felony, and two outstanding felony warrants. Two passengers in the car were also arrested. Deborah Fleetwood, 33, of Carrington, N.D. was arrested for suspicion of felony hindering law enforcement. Destinie Rivera, 23, of Pisek, N.D. was arrested on outstanding warrants.
The sheriff’s office says Maez-Schaak has been arrested more than 30 times. Thursday was the 8th time he was arrested for fleeing law enforcement.
Maez-Schaak was one of three people arrested in Fargo last month after crashing a stolen pickup into a fence near I-94 in Fargo.
