MAPLETON, N.D. (KFGO) – A 38-year-old Hope, North Dakota man was seriously hurt following a high-speed chase in rural Cass County. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says an officer tried to pull over a motorcycle for speeding Tuesday night on Interstate 94 near Mapleton.
The rider drove-off at high speeds before losing control on 33rd St SE and rolling into a ditch. Troopers say the driver was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from the bike.
He was airlifted to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. The man faces DUI and other pending charges as the investigation continues.
