GREENWAY, Minn. – A five-year-old boy from Minnesota’s Iron Range is in intensive care after rescuing his younger brother from an icy creek on Easter Sunday.
Family members say Ashkan Thibodeaux jumped into the water when his brother, Wyatt, slipped beneath the surface. Ashkan was able to get Wyatt safely to shore but was unable to pull himself out.
Thibodeaux was rushed to Children’s Minnesota in Minneapolis, where he remains in the pediatric ICU.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the family financially.
