ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – A former Arden Hills daycare employee is facing charges for allegedly hitting a three-year-old in the face, leaving the child with a bloody nose.
Ruby Kolbow, 35, was charged with malicious punishment and third-degree assault of a child under four. Prosecutors say it happened March 10 at New Horizon Academy, though it was reported to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office nine days later.
Kolbow initially claimed the injury was accidental, but the child’s mother said her son reported being hit by a staff member.
