Silver Alert for Alfred Odden (updated photos of pickup) ND Response
VALLEY CITY, N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) – The search continues for 73-year-old Alfred Odden of Wahpeton after a silver alert was issued last week.
Odden, who has dementia, is considered vulnerable. He was seen on security video at Casey’s Gas Station in Valley City last week Wednesday night after leaving his home earlier in the day.
Wahpeton Police Chief Matthew Anderson says Odden made a call about 30 minutes later. Since then, there has been no sign of him.
“There’s been no activity on his bank accounts. His son’s been monitoring that,” said Travis Bateman is the founder and director of Badlands Search & Rescue. “He did pay with a debit card at Casey’s that night for his purchases. Since then, there’s been nothing on the card.”
The Highway Patrol did an aerial search for Odden in Barnes and Stutsman Counties last week.
Bateman says two volunteer pilots searched a large area of southeast North Dakota in their crop dusting airplanes Thursday.
Odden was believed to be driving a teal 1994 Ford F-150 pickup with a red topper.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Wahpeton Police.
