VALLEY CITY, N.D. (KFGO NewsDakota) – Some residents at SMP Health-St. Raphael were temporarily relocated following a report of smoke inside an electrical room of the nursing home in Valley City Wednesday night.
Police Chief Nick Horner says several agencies assisted staff members with relocating residents from areas affected by smoke as a precautionary measure. They identified the source of the smoke as a failing motor in the electrical room. There were no injuries.
Responding agencies included Valley City police and fire and Barnes County Ambulance.
