Willmar schools closed after threat

WILLMAR, Minn. – All Willmar Public Schools are closed Tuesday after a threat was sent to the district.  

In a statement, the superintendent says the threat came in Monday and that closing the schools is being done out of an abundance of caution. The district is working with law enforcement to determine the credibility of the threat.  

In addition to closing school buildings, the Willmar School District will also have no e-learning Tuesday. All after school activities are canceled.
