Shea Hites (Otter Tail County Jail)
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KFGO-KBRF) – A homeless man was arrested for sexually assaulting a minor in Otter Tail County.
Shea Hites, 26, is accused of having sexual contact with a 14-year-old between March 2024 and August 2024.
On March 27, 2026, Otter Tail County deputies received a report from a school resource officer that a 16-year-old was asking about what could be done about a sexual assault that occurred over a year prior.
According to court documents, the victim told deputies that Hites originally wanted to have them hang out in his room, but he eventually initiated a “physical and sexual relationship” with them.
Hites was arrested on March 31 and has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor. He made his first court appearance on April 2.
