MOORHEAD (KFGO-KVRR) – The City of Moorhead is putting out a call to residents to design new banners that will hang on streetlights downtown.
The banners are to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America this upcoming 4th of July.
The designs must incorporate a red, white, and blue color scheme and be double-sided.
City officials say they are excited to see what people come up with.
“I think it’s really up to the artist. We really want to leave the creativity up to them. As long as it kind of fits with the themes we’re looking for,” said Ethan Jonk, Assistant City Planner.
The deadline to submit is Thursday, April 16, and winners will be announced on April 27.
The goal is to have the banners hanging from the streetlights sometime in June.
