FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KFGO-KBRF) – Fergus Falls Police tracked down three teens after a short chase in a stolen vehicle.
Officers with the Fergus Falls Police Department tried to stop a vehicle on East Main Avenue on Sunday. Police terminated the chase because of the speed and concerns for public safety.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in a driveway. Fergus Falls Police, Otter Tail County Sheriff’s deputies, Minnesota State Patrol troopers and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources established a perimeter.
A K9 helped locate one of the suspects, a 16-year-old girl.
During the search, residents reported that two teens entered an occupied home, but left after being confronted by the homeowner.
Police later located the two remaining suspects, ages 14 and 15, within the city of Fergus Falls and took them into custody.
Two of the teens were taken to a detention facility in Moorhead, while the third was released to a family member.
