WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. – Investigators have found no evidence of arson in the house fire that killed Jessi Pierce and her three children in a Twin Cities suburb.
The White Bear Lake Fire Department says the exact cause of Saturday’s fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Pierce spent more than a decade covering the NFL, most recently focusing on the Minnesota Wild. Hockey writer Michael Russo says the press box and the press room will be “a lot quieter and a lot less funny” without her presence.
The Wild issued a statement saying the organization is “heartbroken” by the deaths of Pierce and her children, ages 8, 6 and 4. Pierce’s husband and the children’s father was out of town on a business trip.
