BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – There was a bomb threat at the State Capitol in Bismarck over the weekend.
The Highway Patrol says someone called Bismarck Central Dispatch around 9:50 p.m. Sunday saying a bomb had been placed at the Capitol building. The Highway Patrol, Bismarck Police, Bismarck Fire, and Bismarck Bomb Squad responded.
The bomb squad searched the building, but did not find a bomb and the building was cleared. Investigators reviewed security footage and no threat was seen.
During the call, Bismarck Police set up a perimeter around the Capitol building and a drone was deployed to search the area around the capitol grounds.
The scene was cleared shortly before midnight.
