Finn (Cass Co. Sheriff's Office)
FARGO (KFGO) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office its first ever Community Outreach Comfort dog.
K9 Finn has been sworn in as a deputy. His partner and handler is deputy is Deputy Jolene Fletcher.
Finn is a 14-month-old labrador retriever. He comes from Whispering Pines Family Kennel in Milaca, Minnesota and completed training at Performance Kennels in Buffalo, Minnesota.
Finn will serve in a variety of roles including community events, school programs, crisis intervention and provide support during critical or traumatic incidents. He will also support staff wellness within the department.
The Comfort Dog Program was created through donations that included the county commission, Turf Tamers, the Davenport Fire Department, the community of Grandin and the Cass County Electric Cooperative Foundation.
