CARRINGTON, N.D. (KFGO) – An eastern North Dakota man is dead after a crash six miles east of Carrington Monday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol says the 80-year-old from Carrington was driving a pickup south on 74th Avenue NE when he entered the intersection of State Highway 200 and was struck by an eastbound semi.
The Carrington man was not wearing a seatbelt. He died at the scene.
The 32-year-old Washburn man driving the semi suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital in Carrington.
The Highway Patrol says there are no charges against the semi driver.
The Highway Patrol, Carrington Police, Carrington Fire & Rescue, Carrington Ambulance, and the Foster County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
