House fire in Brandon, MN on Feb. 22, 2026 (Brandon Fire Department)
BRANDON, Minn. (KFGO) – Everyone is okay after a house started on fire in Brandon, Minnesota on Sunday, Feb. 22.
Douglas County deputies and the Brandon Fire Department responded just after 7 a.m. after a man called and reported the house was full of smoke.
Both occupants were able to get out safely.
Garfield Fire Department was called in to help extinguish the blaze and North Memorial Ambulance also helped at the scene.
A man was checked for smoke inhalation, but was not taken to the hospital.
Fire crews say the fire was believed to have started upstairs.
Minnesota State Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the fire. The American Red Cross is helping the occupants of the house.
