GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – Two men are in the Grand Forks County Correctional Center after police say they stole a vehicle and led officers on a chase.
Christopher Davis, 28, and Tristan Amyotte, 20, were both arrested after police say they took a running vehicle from a home in the 400 block of N. 6th Street around 5:30 Thursday morning.
The vehicle owner called police and officers spotted the vehicle as they were responding to the scene.
Officers chased the vehicle along N. Washington Street and say Davis lost control due to the weather conditions.
The vehicle got stuck in the ditch and Davis and Amyotte tried to run from the crash, but were quickly taken into custody.
Davis faces charges of driving under suspension, motor vehicle theft, fleeing in motor vehicle, and possession of stolen property.
Amyotte is being held on charges of possession of stolen property and possession of a concealed weapon.
Grand Forks Police say no one was hurt. The vehicle was returned to its owner.
