OSAGE, Minn. (KFGO) – A deadly house fire in Osage east of Detroit Lakes.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office says a passing driver was flagged down by a resident of the home shortly before 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.
He reported that a female was still inside the home along State Highway 34. Her body was later recovered from inside the house. The person who reported the fire was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids for smoke inhalation and possible burns. The name of the female who died in the blaze has not been released.
Carsonville Fire Rescue and the Park Rapids Fire Department responded to the scene. The fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
