LAKE CITY, Minn. – One person is dead and another injured after a house fire Sunday in Lake City southeast of the Twin Cities.
Fire crews responded shortly before 7 a.m. to a fully involved multi-family home where smoke and flames were showing on all sides, and the front porch had collapsed.
Firefighters conducted a search of the second floor and rescued a young girl from an upstairs window. She was stabilized on scene and taken to a hospital. Another person was found dead inside the home.
Fire crews encountered heavy smoke, fire, and a partial floor collapse. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
