PERHAM, Minn. (KFGO) – A west-central Minnesota man is facing an attempted murder charge after a witness says he was found stabbing a woman in her Perham apartment.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s office says deputies from its office and Perham Police responded to an apartment Saturday morning for a report of an assault. Witnesses say 22-year-old Cyrus Olson broke into the woman’s apartment and began assaulting and stabbing her until a neighbor intervened.
The woman ran to a friend’s apartment. Perham EMS Ambulance personnel treated her at the scene before taking her to Perham Hospital. She was later flown to another hospital.
The Sheriff’s Office says the victim is in serious condition.
The Sheriff’s Office says Olson was found moments after the stabbing. He is being held in the Otter Tail County jail for attempted murder, burglary, aggravated robbery, and assault.
