Troy Johnson (Clay County Jail)
MOORHEAD (KFGO) – A Moorhead man has been arrested on a felony charge of threats of violence after Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting says he was identified as the person who phoned-in a bomb threat to social services Tuesday morning.
Empting says the threat was left on an employee’s voicemail. The employee recognized the voice and did not believe the threat was credible
Empting says Troy Johnson, 59, made two more threats to social services and to local businesses. He says Johnson refused to answer his door and yelled at officers who went to his home.
Empting says Johnson was arrested by a sheriff’s detective and Moorhead police officers after a judge approved a warrant to enter his home. A Fargo police K9 team assisted the deputy and officers at the home.
