MINNEAPOLIS – A meeting scheduled for Monday between faith leaders and Target CEO Brian Cornell is being pushed to Thursday.
Last week, more than 100 clergy visited Target headquarters requesting a meeting with Cornell urging his company to stand with Minnesotans to protest ICE operations. On Monday, the two sides agreed to delay the meeting to Thursday.
Faith leaders are requesting that Cornell publicly call for ICE to end the surge and leave Minnesota, call for the officer to be held responsible in the death of Renee Good, and deny federal agents access to Target stores unless they present judicial warrants.
